A sand control operation in which gravel is injected into a well where a screen has been placed. The pressure of the injection is usually at or near the fracture pressure of the reservoir and a pressure packing of all perforations ensues. Some perf breakdown occurs. The amount of gravel placed is about 40 to 75 lbs/ft of perfs. Abbreviated HRWP.
