The Automated Oilfield involves the removal of human labor from the oil & gas process. The oil & gas industry is transitioning toward automation, but will require a large amount of human labor to accomplish the task.

​Overview

The Automated Oilfield is implamentation of closed loop automation of oil and gas operations. The automated oilfield recieves data from numerous instumented sources, runs the data through algorithms and simulation models, and makes decisions with or without humans in the decision loop. The digital oilfield is transitioning to the automated oilfield.
