Sandbox:Engineering units conversion

There are two systems of units of measure in use today in Petroleum Engineering:  (1) field units (also called customary, English, or oilfield units) and (2) metric units (of which SI units are a subset).  It is recommended by SPE to use SI units whereever possible however field units may be used in technical papers according to the SPE style guide.  Indeed it is likely that certain values, such as world oil demand, will always be reported in field units (BOE/D).  It is important for the modern petroleum engineer to be conversant with both systems of units.
